Broadway Dallas - 2026 New York Tour

The trip covered quite a few of the major sights, as well as the shows and meals. It was well organized and, when glitches occurred,  they were dealt with very quickly and professionally, providing a smooth transition. It was a wonderful group, just the right size. Most of the guides were excellent and provided interesting information on the history of the places we were seeing. I really enjoyed riding the double decker buses and the tube in addition to the private coaches and walking. The choice of shows was varied and they were amazing!
I would have liked to see The Tower of London and the Crown Jewels, and the changing of the guard.

Music Theatre Wichita - 2026 London Tour

The staff and events were all on time and well managed. There was a very high level of care and attention paid to each traveler. One of my favorite things was the tea time lecture. 

We enjoyed out time on the tours, shows and meals.

This was our first trip to NYC and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. The food, the shows, the hotel, the Broadway shows agenda and the attention to detail was amazing and very much appreciated.

Music Theatre Wichita - 2025 New York Tour

Overall, I enjoyed the trip to NYC.  Good accommodations but surprised there wasn’t a coffee kiosk with bagels and muffins. Breakfast buffet was very expensive.  

The trip was great! The shows we saw, the hotel, the hotel location, the tours and activities, the guides, the bus transportation, the harbor cruise, the restaurants, the guides leading us through the subways,  the train ride, the botanical gardens - we enjoyed it all. There was just the right balance of activity and down time so we could do activities on our own, rest in the room, etc. 

If tipping will continue to be expected and not be built into the cost of the tour in the future, then please give us more of a heads-up on who our daily guides will be in advance, how long they will be with us (e.g., one hour, one day, multiple days, etc) so we can be ready with tips when their time with us was over. We were disappointed to learn some guides had left us and would not be coming back to us before we had a chance to tip them. 

Our seats at shows were consistently to the rear of other members of our tour. We suspect that seating may have been assigned alphabetically. If that was the case, and that was consistently done, then perhaps mixing it up in the future so that the last names starting with "A" don't always get the seats closest to the stage would be a more balanced approach. 

Pioneer Center - 2025 New York Holiday Tour

I had a great time on the trip. Just the right amount of things to see and do on this trip. 

Seeing NYC during the Christmas season was a bucket list trip for me and this did not disappoint.  I thoroughly enjoyed the NY ballet Nutcracker and the Rockettes.  The food and accommodations were also top notch.

Our accommodations were very comfortable, hotel staff were very obliging/helpful, and was located within easy walking distance to many sites of interest. The musicals, Christmas Spectacular, and Intrepid visit provided varied genre’s as well as quantity entertainment. While the mezzanine seats for the Broadway musicals were located within easy walking good views of the stage, the individual seating space am as limited and very uncomfortable. While I understand ticketing for a group poses challenges, on my previous MTW Tours our seats were in the orchestra sections. The restaurants selected for dining were good but Becco only offered variations of pasta dishes with no protein. As a diabetic, I need that protein with all those carbohydrates. There was a small dab of fish on the antipasti plate but was too fishy for my taste. . Bond 45 was the best as the chicken main dish that accompanied the other dishes met my needs. The tour guides were pleasant and knowledgeable while  shepherding our group around. Also, Break-Away staff were approachable and helpful when needed. Overall my NYC adventure was successful.

Excursions were wonderful, varied and plentiful
Restaurants however were redundant, 2 dinners and 1 lunch and ALL of them were Italian. One day was both Italian lunch and Italian dinner on the SAME DAY!! Don't they have any other kind of food in New York????
The old man that was the guide in the hotel in New York was awful! Didn't know what group we were, didn't know where we were going, didn't even know we had already had an Italian lunch when we were heading to the Italian dinner that same day! He was really out of it, you need some younger guides!!

As a first time traveler with the group, I found it difficult to navigate getting from one place to another on my own. Not being familiar with the city and the vague instructions when the opportunity arose to ask, made for an unpleasant and nerve wracking experience. I expected tour guides to actually guide us! At one point when my friend and I asked if there was a plan to get from one place to another when rain was expected, he said to buy an umbrella! Very cheeky, as he admitted. 
That said, the content and choices of plays and restaurants and opportunities was completely enjoyable. I would just think twice about going on a tour with Break Away. 

This tour exceeded all expectations! Tour guides, tours, and shows were outstanding. Great information and love for their city shined brightly.  Dream come true!

The trip was very well-organized with excellent accommodations.  My only complaint is that our show tickets were in seats very far from the stage.  I would have preferred to sit closer to the stage to see the performers more clearly, even if those seats would have cost more.  There was enough downtime that more activities could have been planned by each tour participant which many people did do.

I thoroughly enjoyed the entire trip. The accommodations and location were perfect. The NY team was awesome. We enjoyed all the activities in addition to the 4 plays. I have already told friends what a great time we had and recommend Break-Away.

I had a fabulous time-shows, venues, food, hotel, location and guides were great.

I had a wonderful introduction to many of the super interesting venues in the city. The activities were carefully chosen and the tour guides very knowledgable and helpful. I especially loved that they were flexible as in when our bus was stuck in traffic and couldn’t pick us up in time, we were guided through the subway, a train and a very exciting trip from Manhattan to the Bronx. Loved every bit!!

The trip was wonderful.  There is no better way to celebrate the holidays than going to NYC.  The trip was extremely well planned.  The Intercontinental Hotel was perfectly located, room was great, and the staff was the best!  The restaurants, the tours, the shows - everything was great.  I would definitely consider doing this trip again but only if it is with Breakaway Tours!

If I might make one suggestion - return on an earlier flight.  Arriving home in the wee hours of the morning was not a good way to end a wonderful trip.

Courteous. Well arranged. Flexible. Would be willing to pay more for orchestra seats for more leg room

Not even one star.
The itinerary was changed and we were not told until our arrival.  I missed part of what I paid for in this tour due to this change conflicting with a ticket that I bought for use during what was originally free time on the itinerary.  I sent an email to BA on November 22nd asking about the free time and did not receive a reply. Paying customers should be notified in advance, not after arrival. I will not recommend BA to anyone, ever.

We had an amazing time!! The workshop, the shows, the guides and the information we received was invaluable!! I would definitely recommend this tour and have been spreading the news. Thank you Lyric! Oh and the dinners!!

Fantastic, the trip to NYC was filled with great shows, wonderful tours, and a super group of guides and experts leading and organizing our daily activities with expertise and enthusiasm.  Everything from airport transfers, hotel accommodations, restaurants, and subway transfers were handled with precision.  One of best organized tours I have been on..........experienced New York like never before and I have been there many times!
Great trip!!!!

This trip was everything a Broadway tour should be.  The plays were exceptional--each very different from the other but each was incredibly good.  The theater tours were informative and interesting.  The guides were entertaining, but knew their history and had  old photographs for visual aids.  The hotel was comfortable and all the staff was friendly and helpful.  It was also very convenient to everything that was scheduled.  

A most memorable trip.  Everything we did was excellent and the tour guides were fantastic.  on a scale of 1 to 10 it was a 100!

The trip was well organized, our tours were with exceptional guides, all transportation was top notch, hotel was convenient and above average service. Shows and outings exceeded my expections. I had a great time!

Denver Center for the Performing Arts - 2025 New York Tour

Had a lot of fun! 4 terrific musicals, wonderful food, a beautiful hotel room;  right in Times Square and Hell's Kitchen. If you can swing it, go on this tour!!! Guides and guests were great company!!!

Great week in NYC with awesome shows, great accommodations, good tours & food, and even better company.

We had a great time! The food was great! We met some awesome people and learned a lot. We had a small problem with the accommodations, but it was immediately taken care of and was perfect! Would love to do this trip again. 

Tuacahn - 2025 Fall New York Tour

We had a great time. Being in the middle of Times Square was really nice and made it very convenient for the different tours and plays. We thought all the different tours really added to the experience. The comradery of the other tour members added to the enjoyment. 

The itinerary was perfect. A good mix of different musicals. The sites that we saw were very interesting particularly I like Frick museum. The only drawback was the hotel although I should’ve spoken up.
I was on the 3 rd floor. It was very dated and noisy.

The shows and the tours we took in New York were great. There were many interesting people in our group and we enjoyed conversing with them. The tour guides were knowledgeable and entertaining. The hotel was convenient to Times Square, several of the theaters and many restaurants. Wish we had been able to spend more time in some of the museums. We had a fantastic time!

Very well organized trip. Schedule allowed some down time. Choices of plays ware very good. Had two excellent guest speakers. Included meals were at great restaurants. Guides (of which there were a half dozen) were very knowledgeable and personable. I expect to sign up for the equivalent tour next year!

It was great.  3 Italian dinners was probably 1 too many.  I loved everything about the trip

Well organized trip with excellent seats for all Braodway productions.  Interesting tours with skilled guides.

We had a wonderful time in New York with great shows and places to check out during the day.  The hotel was within walking distance of the theaters which made it easy to have a nice meal and then walk to the show.  Even on the nights that dinner was on our own, it worked great.  We enjoyed being able to change up a few things so we could see other shows including the Rockettes.  We can't wait to do it all again!

This was a fantastic trip. I was amazed at how much we saw during our stay in NYC. The only thing I would have cut out was the trip to the Broadway Museum. This would be good for someone who is a hardcore theatre goer but not for me and for several others who were on the tour. I loved the plays we saw and the other insights we had to the theatre business but the Broadway museum was not that interesting for me. I would have rather spent time at the Guggenheim, or the Whitney museums. The tour guides were great, especially Mike. 

Very fun. Great shows! Loved the mix of art, history, & archetechure. Guides were so knowledgeable (Mike & Hardy). A true NYC experience!! Loved the small size of our group too.

We had a great time.  Nice group of people, great tour guides.  We covered a lot of ground in one week.  Good choices of places to go and the food was great.

Old Globe - 2025 New York Tour

This was an amazing trip. The New York experience was wonderful for a native Californian. The Broadway background provided by animated, "in the business" guides was enlightening. The plays were great. The tours were fun. There was good food and interesting people on the tour  I would highly recommend this trip!

Excellent in every way - from initial sign-up to the flight home.  Break-Away Tours one of the best we've experienced!
